Appointment Booking

General Appointments are booked at 15-minute intervals. These are suitable for 1 or 2 concerns. Use the below guide to decide the appropriate length of your consultation.

 

If your health issue is of a complex nature, or you have multiple items you wish to discuss, we ask that you book a 30 minute appointment

3 or more health concerns; 30 minutes

Mental Health concerns and referrals; 30 minutes

Skin checks: Full body and multiple lesion check 30 minutes; 1 to 3 lesions of concern 15 minutes

Antenatal checks; minimum 15 minutes

6-8-week mother and baby check; 15/30 minutes for mother, 30 minutes for baby (includes nurse review)

Immunisations and flu shots; 15 minutes

Travel consultations; 15 minutes for single location. For multiple locations, please book 30 minutes. Bring any vaccine history you may have and your travel itinerary to your appointment

Workers compensation; first visit 30 minutes. Thereafter, as advised

Care plans; 30 minutes

Health Assessments 45-49 yr old and over 75yrs; 30 minutes with nurse, 30 minutes with GP

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask you provide us with as much notice as possible so that we can offer the appointment vacancy to another patient.

Please note that EMAILS are not an accepted method for making or cancelling appointments. Please always call the practice.

After Hours & Home Visits

View Street Medical is now able to offer convenient early morning Telehealth consultations with one of our General Practitioner’s – Dr Rachel Forth.

This service will be available:     Monday 6.00am-8.00am

                                                       Tuesday 6.00am-7.15am

                                                       Wednesday-Friday  6.00am – 8.00am

To be eligible to claim a rebate, it is a Medicare requirement for the patient to have had a face to face/in person consult with a GP at the practice in the last 12 months.

These appointments will be privately billed. In the event that the patient needs a follow-up in person review, this may be arranged at the time of the Telehealth appointment.

After Hours (after 6pm) home visits are available through the WA Deputising Medical Service (WADMS).

Home visits available through the WA Deputising Medical Service are intended for occasions where there is unexpected or deteriorating illness, injury or difficulty in attending the practice. Day time visits may be made through referral from the practice.
